Privacy Policy
This text describes the current behavior of the service. It is not a guarantee, and it should be reviewed by a lawyer for each jurisdiction where the service operates.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you submit, information created by using the service, and a limited amount of technical information needed to run the site.
2. Account information
Account information includes your name, email address, date of birth, and password. The password is stored as a hash. Date of birth is used to enforce the age requirement and is not shown on another person's view of your profile.
3. Profile information
Profile information includes gender, location choices, religion, marital status, education, profession, languages, and the about text you save. Family details are shown only to you.
4. Photos and videos
The database can store media records. Photo and video upload is not available in the current website. When upload is added, files will be stored on the server and will not be shown if moderation rejects them.
5. Location information & Geolocation
On the web, we use IP-based approximate geolocation to identify your country, division/region, and city for security monitoring, fraud prevention, and local matchmaking relevance. We do not claim or collect GPS-level precision from an IP address.
On our Android application, precise GPS location permission is completely optional. If you decline or revoke location permission, the application continues to function normally with full access to profiles, messaging, and search. If permitted by you, only coarse location metadata is utilized. We never track your background location or continuous location history.
6. Messages and communications
Messages between members are stored after an interest is accepted. Contact messages you send from the contact form are stored in the database. They are not emailed, because email delivery is not configured.
7. Device, Session & Login Security Monitoring
To safeguard accounts against unauthorized takeover and malicious attacks, our servers record session identifiers, platform type (Web or Android), general operating system, browser or app version, and login outcome timestamps.
For Android devices, we generate a secure, application-scoped random UUID (installation ID). We strictly do not collect hardware identifiers such as IMEI numbers, device serial numbers, MAC addresses, private files, contacts, SMS, or advertising identifiers.
Access to sensitive session and security activity is strictly restricted to authenticated administrators with explicit server-side authorization. Every administrative view or status change is permanently recorded in an immutable admin audit log.
9. How we use information
We use information to create your account, show profiles you are allowed to see, calculate distance, enforce blocks, and respond to reports and contact messages.
11. Service providers
The application is built to run on ordinary hosting with a database. Email, push notifications, and image-moderation providers are not connected yet. When a provider is connected, it should receive only the information needed for that task.
12. Safety and moderation
Reports and blocks are stored. Blocking hides the people involved from each other in search, discover, and profile views. Reports stay available for review even if an account is later deleted.
13. Advertising
Advertising configuration can be stored for a future admin screen. The current website does not show third-party ads and does not send your profile to an ad network.
14. Data retention & Automatic Pruning
Account profile data remains active until you deactivate or delete your account, or until an operator removes it.
User session logs, approximate IP location records, and authentication security event streams are governed by a configurable data retention policy (default 90 days). Records older than the retention window are automatically and permanently pruned to prevent indefinite storage of activity history.
15. Account deletion
You can deactivate or delete your account from the delete-account page after entering your password. Deletion is a soft delete: you cannot sign in and your profile is hidden. Reports and moderation records are kept.
16. Data security
Passwords are hashed. Private profile responses are sent with a private, no-store cache header. No method of storage is perfect, and you should not send passwords, one-time codes, or banking details to other members.
17. Your rights
You can see and edit your profile, change your password, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access or correct information. Use the contact form to make a request. We do not promise a specific legal outcome.
18. International transfers
The host of this installation chooses where the database is stored. If that location is in another country, your information is stored there. This page does not name a country because the host is configured separately.
19. Age restrictions
You must be at least 18 years old. The registration form rejects a date of birth that does not meet that rule. The service is not for children.
20. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change. Continued use after the new date means the new text applies to new activity.
21. Contact
Use the contact page. If no support email address is configured, the message is stored and is not sent by email.
